Isaiah 53 - Messianic prophesy BY prophet Isaiah

ISAIAH CHAPTER 53.

The book of ISAIAH is one of the books of prophesy. It's the first book among the five major prophetic books. Others are Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel and Daniel.

In chapter 53, God presents to Isaiah events that would unfold several years later; the coming of the Messiah. In this chapter, Isaiah is more vivid and more clearer than any other messianic prophesy.

Just like today when many people do not believe in the second coming of the LORD, many people did not believe Isaiah's message as he points out. 

Jesus would be born under humble circumstances.  Though he would be the Messiah and saviour of the world, there would be nothing royal about him. This would make him  looked down upon in spite of the divine responsibility he would carry on his shoulders. 

The expected Messiah would carry all the sorrows of the world. He would carry the sin of the world. He would suffer because of the human race. This would please God the father. 

During his lifetime, the Messiah would suffer in the hands of those he would come to safe.

Isaiah 53 foretold the things that came to pass during the life of Jesus Christ. He was indeed handle with little or at times no regard. He was despised. He was tortured. He died and defeated death for mankind. The church eagerly awaits for his second coming.
