The Old Testament:
The Pentateuch
Adam and Eve
Well, let's go deeper into the stories of the Bible. The Bible is divided into two sections called the Old Testament and the New Testament. Let's start with the Old Testament. First comes the Beginning in which God creates everything with a word . He made a beautiful garden called the Garden of Eden. There He made all creatures including mankind. He made two people named Adam and Eve who had a special relationship with God. God gave Adam and Eve everything they needed and only one simple rule. "You may eat from any tree in the garden but do not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.". But one day, the devil came into the form of a serpent to bring Adam and Eve away from God. The word Satan means enemy or accuser. When Eve was alone, the serpent came to her and told tempting things which lead her to eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Soon, she lead Adam to do the same mistake she had done. God found out what they had done and went looking for them. They blamed their mistake on each other and on the snake. God cursed the snake and took away his legs and made crawl on his belly and eat dust. As for Adam and Eve, God told them to leave the garden but still, God was with them and protected them. Now, it is time to go. We have to go to the next story! Whoosh!
