Welcoming
Welcome to Easter with Children! Here we will talk about the real Easter story, what Jesus has done for us, and more! Jesus died for us so that we can be with God. But then He rose again and is with us now. This is very, very good news!
What is your Favorite Part of the Easter Story?
The Resurrection of Jesus
My favorite incident in the Easter Story from the Bible is the resurrection of Jesus Christ because He died for my sins and that shows we will also resurrect from death and ascend to Heaven. I believe that in the last days of the world we will also die and resurrect from death and join Jesus in Heaven. According to the incident, I am so happy I'm saved and that I will have eternal life.
Jesus's Arrest
My name is Roselencer. My favorite incident in the Easter Story is the arrest of Jesus Christ. When Jesus was arrested, He was as humble as a lamb because He knew that He had to be sacrificed for our sins.
We should also practice purity like Jesus who has no sin in Him. He is pure in His heart.
Jesus's Resurrection
My name is Patience. My favorite incident in the Easter Story from the Bible is the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus resurrected on the third day. His mother, Mary Magdaline, and Mary mother of James went to see the body of Jesus and to apply oils onto it. When they reached the tomb, they found that the stone that blocked the entry was rolled away. They were very worried and started to cry. Suddenly, they saw angels of The LORD and they told the women "HE HAS RISEN!". The resurrection of Jesus teaches us that Jesus has power over death.
The Nails Shall NEVER Pierce Us
Often times during Easter, we think about how terrible it was for Jesus to die on the cross. This is true, it was horrible and amazing how He was willing to do this for us. However, this Easter, I realized something. I always get stuck on the torture of the crucifixion, like the nailing of Jesus's hands and feet. During the church service this year, I think that God made sure that I heard a specific message. We have sinned, so we deserve death. Jesus paid the debt, so we don't have to by believing in Him. But, if it wasn't for Him, we would have to go through the same torture and death forever, separated from God. Jesus Christ knew this, and took the nails in our place so we will never have to when we believe in Him. Of course, this a choice. We can choose not to believe in Jesus, but then we would have to pay for our sins ourselves. God invites us to accept this free gift, so that one day, we can live with God in His Kingdom forever. Which will you choose?
