Is your heart burning for GOD?

When I read Isaiah 53 two main verses came in my mind. Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:32 - 32 They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”

Road to Emmaus and Isaiah 53: 

When JESUS explained scriptures to the two persons after resurrection, I was thinking JESUS might have brought Isaiah 53 and explained to them. When they heard about it, their hearts burn. At that time , this question came in my mind - "why my heart is not burning for GOD? "  Below content is based on what GOD revealed to me over this week for this question.

Lesson 1 - Heart is not right:

Pastor Marc explained in one podcast that he removed the dust and dirty things from his solar lamp in the lawn ,so that it will receive the sun light. A.W.Tozer in one if his sermon mentioned that Elijah set up the altar properly to receive the fire from GOD. JESUS may not have joined them and explained to those two , if they were talking about poilitics and the next week games or what they will eat when they reach their place. 

Lesson 2- Don't identify yourself with wrong thief:

my heart is filled with three things - 1.people 2.current circumstances 3. Worldly things. Every day has it's own troubles. My prayers are either "Give me or forgive me". Luke 23:39-43  states the the heart conditions of two criminals on the cross. Bad one was looking for JESUS to save HIM from current troubles and other one thinking of eternity. Most of my prayers are similar to the bad thief. I might have done the same if I was in the cross. 

Lesson 3- GOD brings the fire:

Only GOD can bring the fire and make the heart burn. Unless HOLY SPIRIT reveals our heart ,our heart won't burn . Moses and the bush, Elijah and the altar are some of the examples. Only GOD can make our heart burn. 

Lesson 4:Forgetfulness

Is your heart burning after reading Isaiah 53 ? If not spend time with GOD. Don't expect GOD to burn your heart by spending time with worldly things and worldly thoughts. Every worldly thing is making you to move away from GOD or forget GOD at that moment. Below Erwin Lutzer sermon content on david and bethsheeba came in my mind "I’m not sure that David hated God at this particular moment. I just thing he forgot God. I like what Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote. You remember he was a victim of a Nazi concentration camp, and died at the age of 39. But he said, “In our members there is a slumbering inclination towards desire which is both fierce and sudden. With irresistible power, desire seizes mastery over the flesh. All at once a secret smoldering fire is kindled and the flesh burns, and it is in flames. Joy in God is extinguished in us, and we seek all of our joy in the creature. At this moment God is quite unreal to us. He loses all reality and only desire for the creature is real. Satan does not now fill us with hatred of God, but only forgetfulness of God.” David saw, but he didn’t see enough. He didn’t see enough. He should have also seen God."

my prayer :

Warren Wiersbe in "Be comforted" mentioned that "We can never obey GOD in our own strength,but we can always trust HIM to provide the strength we need" . (Phil 4:13 ). I have started praying for my heart condition and asking GOD to help me to move away from things which will make me to forget GOD. In short GOD showed me my heart condition when I read Isaiah 53. Long way to go. Just started with first stone.
