The Bible has 66 books written by many different authors. But what is it about? Well, the Bible tells us about the loving and powerful God who created the whole universe. God created mankind in His own image, but mankind sinned and was separated from Him. Sin means to go your own way, doing only what you want to do. It means to be disobedient with divine law. But what is amazing is that God loves us so much that He is with us, protects us, listens to us, and wants to save us from sin even though we don't deserve it. The Bible verse John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.". God loves us more than we could ever comprehend and sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. If you are wondering why Jesus had to die for us, it is because God is holy meaning different and supernatural. God cannot be with sin so when we sinned we couldn't be with Him. The penalty of sin is death since God cannot be with sin so when Jesus died He took on all of the sins of the world and paid the penalty so we can be with God and don't have to die. This, as you can see, is amazing news which is called the Gospel meaning good news.  This is the best news in the whole wide world.
